Positive Developments

posted on 9:21 AM | permalink

In the past months we've noted numerous positive developments where activists on every side of the political spectrum have come to see pornography in a new light. Last month Naomi Wolf, an icon of the feminist left, entertained the idea that pornography impinges the natural passions that exist between men and women. This last week, Catherine MacKinnon, Professor of Law at Harvard, proposed that pornography cannot exist separately from the mainstream of American culture.

The warning flares about pornography have often originated from the conservative movements but the breadth of supporters across the political divide cannot go by without mention.

The next time you think your job is tough take a moment to thank the people on the front lines of this fight. Law enforcement officials across the country are trapping serious pedophiles and getting them off the virtual street by posing as pedophiles themselves. Warning, this is not light reading but it shows you the serious nature of the beast and gives you a greater appreciation of what it takes to stop these criminals.

Speaking of criminals we should note these folks who hopefully will not be posting anything on the Internet for the foreseeable future:
